Complete cardiac evaluations

Cardiovetcare provides complete evaluations at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital (MVRH) in Woburn, MA. During these appointments, Dr. Sosa can perform diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms (heart ultrasound), thoracic radiographs, electrocardiograms (ECGs), blood pressure, 24-hours Holter monitoring, and any necessary blood work to evaluate and diagnose your beloved pet. Long-term management of chronic cardiac cases and client education are the cornerstone value of these appointments.

We also perform cardiac interventions to manage the most complex heart conditions. Pacemaker implantation, PDA embolization, balloon valvuloplasties, heart worm extractions and other procedures are all performed MVRH.

Cardiac consulting for practices and specialty hospitals

If you are a general practitioner or a specialty hospital interested in providing cardiology services, Cardiovetcare will evaluate cardiology cases at your facility or remotely, and provide the necessary recommendations so that you can help your clients and their pets.

Currently, cardiovetcare provides cardiology consulting services at three branches of Thrive Pet Healthcare group (Wignall, Billerica, and Weston), as well as Andover Animal Hospital and Reading Animal Clinic.

Screening clinics

We work in direct association with breeders and breed associations or clubs, and these services include echocardiograms to rule out typical heart conditions that many dog and cat breeds are predisposed.
